Meeting Room Hire

Whether you're looking to host a small group class or workshop for a few people, or need a space that holds a couple of dozen people for a seated presentation, the Meeting Room at Beach Road Body and Mind offers an affordable, flexible option in a gorgeous Federation building right on the beach in Sandy Bay, Tasmania.

Prime Location

Nestled by the beach, less than 15 minutes from the Hobart CBD, our Centre offers a convenient location for workshops, classes, and presentations. Our Meeting Room features original Baltic pine floorboards, pressed tin ceiling, and stunning Art Deco timber fretwork frames the bay window - a perfect spot to present your class, or maybe even hold an intimate ceremony.

It is close to bus stops (on Sandy Bay Road), Australia Post Lower Sandy Bay, Baxter’s IGA, cafes, and takeaways. Our sister-business, Sandy Bay Beach Woodfired Pizza is right next door and is open for drinks & brunch Fri-Sun, as well as award-winning pizzas 7 days/week.

Accessible Parking

Event facilitators can take advantage of our convenient on-site parking at the rear of the building.
Your attendees will also appreciate up to 2 hours free parking right across the road from the Centre, with untimed parking nearby, adjacent to Nutgrove Reserve. There is a parking space at the front of the building for people with limited mobility, and a wheelchair ramp to the front door.

Various Group Sizes Accommodated

From a 1:1 session, a class of 6 with yoga mats, or 24 people seated theatre-style, this flexible space can accommodate your group. We have had a wide variety of events held in the space, including yoga classes, Pilates classes, energy healing groups, Women’s Circles, sound healings, practitioner training, community information evenings, choir practice, business meetings, book launches, in-house celebrations, and more!

Furniture & Facilities

We offer complimentary chairs for up to 24 people, and have 3 folding trestle tables available. We also have a whiteboard for your use, and access to toilets and basic kitchen facilities. Wifi can be accessed if required (just advise us when booking)

Affordable Hire Fees

The Meeting Room is available for a flat-rate of $22/hour inc GST.
Discounts may be negotiated for full-day and consecutive multi-day hire.

Terms and Conditions of Hire

• Full payment is required prior to the booked date.

• A $50 late payment fee may be applied to invoices more than 14 days overdue.

• Please be aware others may have the room booked before &/or after you, so the room is only to be accessed during the times on the invoice. Please ensure you have allowed sufficient time to set up and pack up.

• Extra time will be invoiced separately and payable immediately.

• Cancellations within 7 days of the booked time require payment of 50% of the hire fee.

• Cancellations within 48 hours of the booked time require 100% payment of the hire fee.
